Melamine Faced Board aka Particleboard is probably the most common wood-based product. It is very versatile and has a wide range of applications. Designed for general use in furniture and construction, wood particleboard is a panel consisting of three layers, with a smooth, flat surface. With various types of particleboards in our supplier’s product portfolio assure plenty to choose from, both for dry environments and when there is a risk of damp or there are any fire resistance requirements, thus making it possible to assure the best product solution for the demands of the application. Melamine Faced Board is a seamless, low pressure composite board that consists of resin-impregnated layers of fibrous material bonded to a substrate by means of heat and pressure.

• MelaWood by PG-Bison is a decorative paper, impregnated with melamine resin, and bonded to both surfaces of the particleboard using heat and pressure.During the pressing process the resin coating the paper flows and then cures to form a closed surface. This means no microscopic pores for germs to hide; it also makes the surface that much easier to clean with a simple wipe, using a well rung out damp cloth. As a further benefit, a special anti-bacterial  additive is blended into our locally manufactured melamine resin, helping destroy bacteria within hours, that may come to rest on the surface. This makes Melawood the perfect solution for hygiene-sensitive, high-traffic areas where cleanliness alone is insufficient, such as healthcare facilities, office spaces, schools, restaurants, retail and even at home.
