A wrap door is manufactured using MDF (Medium Density Fibre) with vinyl that are shrink-wrapped using high pressure & some heat.

Advantages

  • An extensive variety of colours are available for wrapped application.
  • Printing process ensures colour/grain matching consistency
  • They are resistant to most chemicals ,greases, oils and to swelling and water damage (of all products available this is the most waterproof)
  • No sharp corners or edging
  • Can be press formed to follow the contours of virtually any shape of door.
  • Raw materials from a renewable source and can be re cycled.

Disadvantages

  • There are different processes to foil wrap a door. Resilience to de-lamination and shrinkage may vary with the method used. A High pressure lamination process will lead to greater durability, sharper detail and hardiness than other production methods.
  • Some doors may discolour slightly over time if the foil is inferior and not UV stabilised. Most manufacturers guarantee their products.
  • Foils can shrink if exposed to continuous excessive heat particularly if installed next to an oven that has not been ventilated properly.

Maintenance

  • Light non abrasive detergent and warm damp cloth.

Introducing an imported adhesive with low activating and high reactivating temperatures. This means that the foil is adhered to the MDF at much lower temperatures resulting in better adhesion. The high reactive temperature means the glue bonding the foil and MDF can heat up to between 85 and 95 decrease C before the lamination will occur.

For better adhesion, sharper detail and the best high gloss finish
